The rain that had looked so promising all week washed away in a matter of hours, so quicky. infact, it wasn't even worth putting the boats on the roof of the car! So with a house leaving party, and a car full of boating kit, what else was there to do but spend a day, scramlbing, climbing, swimming with a fair share of falling over and jumping off stuff!

The detination i still cant remember! but its next to the Meltte, and the plan was simple, scramble up the gorge till we find a water fall, jump off stuff, run into a very dark mine shaft with no torches - hike across to the Meltte, swim down back to the car!

We stuck to the plan, sort of, found out that 'canyoning' really means 'fall over a lot, scare the bejesus out of each other by finding higher and higher stuff to jump off'. The important lessons for the day tho...
Dogs can see in the dark [so can Phil - not that i'm implying anything but he was holding the dog!]
Scrambling up rivers is fun, swimming back down is just damn painful!
